Channels worth your time

What I tell students to watch when they want the intuition rather than the notation.

A distribution moving on screen does more for intuition than three pages of notation, and the people below are very good at it. I send students to them regularly.

It is a short list, and everything on it is something I actually watch.

The two I point students to first. Between them they cover a lot of the intuition that textbooks assume you already have.

StatQuest

Josh Starmer

Statistics and machine learning explained slowly and without hand-waving. Excellent before an exam, and honestly after one too.

My own channel, and the odd one out on this page: myths and legends from around the world, retold as animated short films. It is a hobby, it has nothing to do with the research, and that is rather the point.

If you know a channel that belongs on this list, send it to me. I am trying to keep it short rather than complete, but I am always happy to find something new.
